The Tanche, also known as the Nyons olive, is an emblematic variety of southern France, grown mainly in the south of the Drôme and the north of the Vaucluse. Growing in the very north of Provence, it benefits from a micro-climate in winter, necessary for its survival, making it a unique olive variety, existing nowhere else on earth. Recently voted second best olive in the world, it is considered the tastiest olive in Provence. We pick it up directly from an olive grove in the Provençal Baronnies, where it is harvested and potted on the property. Enjoy it by hand as an aperitif, or as a dressing for a salad, sandwich or pizza.
